# Mode

<Warning> Only an admin can set up the Mode integration. </Warning>

Soal integrates with Mode for the purpose of dashboard & chart referencing and suggestion.

Within a [notebook](/essentials/notebooks), users can utilize a BI cell to reference a dashboard or chart created in Mode.

In addition, the [recommendation engine](/essentials/recommendation_engine) will include these Mode assets in the list of suggestions, given a high enough relevancy score to the given request.

### Connecting to Mode

#### 1. Create an Access Token

1. Click on your avatar in the top left and select 'My Account' from the dropdown menu.
2. Click the option 'API Tokens'
3. Enter a token name and click 'Create token'
4. Copy the API Key and password and save it. This will be used to connect to Soal.

#### 2.Retrieve your Mode Workspace

Your organization is the name that's above your avatar when you are on the home page.

#### 3. Connect Mode to Soal

After retrieving your Mode access token and organization , the next step is to connect to Soal:

1. In Soal, select Workspace -> Integrations -> Mode on the left side panel
2. Click on 'Create Connection', then enter your Mode access token, password, and organization you retrieved above
3. Click 'Integrate Mode'
