Questions
A question is the foundational building block of the Soal platform. A question is usually submitted by a user not on the data team, to be answered by a user who is a part of the data team (embedded data analysts & scientists included).
Each question has the following fields:

Title | Title of the question |
Requester | The person who submitted this request. This is typically not a member of the data team. (This is a system generated field) |
Requester Team | The team that the requester is assigned to. (This is a system generated field.) |
Assigned To | Data team member who has been assigned to work on this question. |
Status | One of: Backlog , To Do , In Progress , Resoved |
Priority | One of: Low , Medium , High , Urgent |
Created At | The date at which the request was created. The time is according to the UTC time zone. (This is a system generated field.) |
Resolved At | The date at which the request’s status was most recently set to ‘resolved’. The time is according to the UTC time zone. (This is a system generated field.) |
Tags | Multiselect between (tags)[/setup/create_tags] that were created by the workspace admin. |
Note that these fields can only be modified by an admin or by the user assigned to a given question.
Questions are organized according to the following structure:

Unassigned
menu item filters for questions that are not at assigned to anybody on the data team to complete. - The
My Tasks
menu item filters for questions that are not assigned to the logged in user (this menu item only exists for data team members). - The
Resolved
menu item filters for questions that have ‘resolved’ as their status.
Intake
On the right side panel, the first tab is for the intake contents. These fields were answered by the requester as they were creating the question.
Comments
The second tab on the right side panel is for the comments on the question. If you have connected Soal with you issue tracking system, the comments will be synced between Soal and your issue tracking system.
Recommendations
The third tab on the right hand panel contains suggestions from the recommendation engine. See Recommendation Engine
