Only an admin can set up the Mode integration.

Soal integrates with Mode for the purpose of dashboard & chart referencing and suggestion.

Within a notebook, users can utilize a BI cell to reference a dashboard or chart created in Mode.

In addition, the recommendation engine will include these Mode assets in the list of suggestions, given a high enough relevancy score to the given request.

Connecting to Mode

1. Create an Access Token

  1. Click on your avatar in the top left and select ‘My Account’ from the dropdown menu.
  2. Click the option ‘API Tokens’
  3. Enter a token name and click ‘Create token’
  4. Copy the API Key and password and save it. This will be used to connect to Soal.

2.Retrieve your Mode Workspace

Your organization is the name that’s above your avatar when you are on the home page.

3. Connect Mode to Soal

After retrieving your Mode access token and organization , the next step is to connect to Soal:

  1. In Soal, select Workspace -> Integrations -> Mode on the left side panel
  2. Click on ‘Create Connection’, then enter your Mode access token, password, and organization you retrieved above
  3. Click ‘Integrate Mode’
